DIY VAMPIRE TUTORIAL!

HIIIIIIIIIIII everyone! 

Guess what time of year it is??!?!? Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!

If you have been following my blog for a while you would already know that a) I love fall and b) I love the Vampire Diaries. I have a huge addiction and I love Stefan so if you're team Damon-- byeeeeeeee! Hahah jk but really Stefan for the win. With Halloween right around the corner and the Vampire Diaries season premiere starting last week, I want to be a Vampire I decided... Or Daria. Or Poison Ivy. Im not sure yet. So I thought while I'm struggling to decide I would show all of you different options! For real tho, on a serious note, I dream I'm a vampire sometimes. Not kidding. I think I was one in a past life and doing this makeup just came so natural to me. I swear I'm not nuts. Its just super easy hahah. 

With this look since the eyes are so dark, lets start on the them! Well do the face lata...

Prime your eyes! Then, I took a NYX Jumbo Liner in Dark Purple and covered the lid to start with a nice base. Then took my Lorac Pro Palette 2 and took the color Cool Gray in her crease and buffed it right out. Making sure that the Purple base and the Gray are all blended. Afterwards I took Black and patted that right onto the lid, then blended it all out again. 

I didn't take pics of the face because I thought it was self explanatory but, I took my lightest foundation you know me I own a million cause I am a vamp in the winter, and applied it all over my face and neck. Then took a white face cream from the halloween store and blended that in. I used a translucent powder and patted it all over the skin for a matte look. Then took Cool Gray (from the Lorac Pro2) and used that to contour. Find out how to do that here!

For the veins under the eyes, I took a black liquid liner and started making little baby lines with other lines sprouting from the base. You can use a red cream from the Halloween store or I used a matte red lip stain and with a brush applied it right on top of the liner. To finish that up I blended the colors, Plum, Navy, and Black (again from my Pro2) and made the lines not to stark. Lined my top and bottom waterline with a Black liner and used mascara! Or, apply some fake lashes like we did! Then take the Black and Navy and with a pencil brush blend it right under the waterline to make the look really smoky! 

The lips are my favvvorrrittteee part! I took Cyber from Mac and put it on the outer edges, then took Russian Red on the inside to make it look like bloody. Then I used Night Moth liner (from Mac) and blended both the colors together. Took Cyber again and patted it right in the middle again to blend. Lastly, took Black and put it right on the corners again, to make you look realllllll dead.

Then, take some blood and put it everywhere. Literally, wherever you want. We put it on the sides of the mouths and right on the inside of the lip where we put the Russian Red to make it look like she just got done feeding! And then slapped it everywhere else!

PLS CAN WE PLS PLS PLS TALK ABOUT HOW SICK THIS IS.

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME DOING IT AND I AM IN LOVE.

DEAD.

BECAUSE I WANT TO DO THIS EVERYDAY. JK.

BUT I DO. IF PEOPLE WOULDNT STARE AT ME & THINK I WAS CRAZY.

-First get a cotton ball. Take a piece of it and start rolling it into a circle. 

-Then put eyelash glue on your neck with two dots.

-Put the two circles of cotton onto the dots. 

-Wait for it to dry.

-Then take some liquid latex (you can get this at the Halloween store for like $3) and apply it all over the cotton. Wait for it to dry again. After it drys start molding it. Take some tweezers and pronounce the middle of the circle and push the sides down so they are no harsh lines from the skin to the circle of cotton.

-Take your foundation and blend it alllll over. And take Cool Grey, Plum and Navy again and just start putting it all around to make it look nasty. Then take your bronzer with a blush brush and just blend that all out.

-Use liquid liner and put it right inside the circle to make it look dark and endless. (Apparently Cass liked this part hahahahah)

-Using that red cream or stain like I used start patting that inside the dark and just all around.

-MY FAVORITE PART TAKE THE FAKE BLOOD AND PLAY!

and vavooom you look like Stefan just bit you. Or Damon. Or whatever you're into.

WEIRD Makeup Artist Secrets!

So since were friends now, I thought I would give you some of my TOP SECRET makeup tips. Don't tell anyone SHHH! ;) Some of them are really odd. But honestly, don't bash it til you try it! 

Preperation H- This is amazzzzzzzing for puffy eyes! Don't use all the time or get close to the eyeball-- But, if you are overly tired, or been crying for a bit and have to go somewhere so important, put the tiniest amount and put it on your bags! Also, if you have an ice cube hold it with your tounge on the top of your mouth for 20 seconds and the bags dark eyes should be debagged! So weird, but try it.

Tape- If you read my blog, you have probably heard me talk about this before, you can use tape as a guide for your eyeshadow! To get a crisp, clean line, take this on the back of your hand to get all the stickiness off and then apply it from your lashes up to the end of your brow. Peel it off and BAM! A perfect line!

Monistat Chaffing Gel- This baby is an awesome primer! It makes your pores go byeeeeee! I'm not kidding. It has the same ingredients as most high end primers for $8.. You can't beat that.

Deodorant- Go for more of a non scented, sensitive formula. I use this on my special occasion clients that when they are outside for a wedding or a prom all day and I put this right above the primer and it literally helps so much with sweat and oils, and the makeup stays set. Take this on your fingers and dab on your t-zone! Like I said, I would only use this on special occasions! But, who would think to put this on your face? Oh, just crazy makeup artists;)

Aloe Vera- Have a foundation that you love for nighttime? or winter? But, for everyday its way to thick? If you want to lighten up your foundation mix it with Aloe and it will give you a really sheer look.

Vaseline- Get lipstick on your teeth a lot? Put vaseline on your teeth and you'll never have that problem again! Or, it can take your makeup off. Massage it into your skin and take it off with a damp cloth. If you are a child like me apparently and get nail polish all over your hands when you paint your nails, put some vaseline on the skin next to your nails and when you are finished just wipe off with a Q-Tip! If you have stubby eyelashes put this on again w a Q-Tip at night and it will help them grow! Probably an obvious-- But, you can use this as a gloss over your favorite lip stick as well!

LASTLY--
Coconut Oil- This is an amazing hair mask! If you put tons of this on your hair, then put on a shower cap and sleep over night it makes your hair crazy moisturized and shiny the next day! But, just make sure you shampoo thoroughly the next day, unless you will look like a grease ball! This is an awesome moisturizer for your face and body too! Even if you have oily skin! If you have oily skin and put oil on it it tricks the oil and helps nix the grease in the butt! I have psoriasis and this helps a lot if I slather this on it and it literally is gone! This also is great for eyelashes to grow! I have also been reading up on Oil Pulling. By swishing Coconut Oil in your mouth for 20 minutes then spitting it out, it apparently helps with your oral health and makes your teeth so white! I don't know about you but I don't think I can not put food in my mouth for 20 minutes hahahahha. No but really that seems like a chore swishing and swishing and swishing. I feel like my mouth would hurt.. Maybe I will try it and let you know! But, I can't make any promises :X

DIY: Prom Makeup!

Hey girls! Prom is right around the corner and I know at least when I was in high school, prom makeup and hair is a pain in the rear. You literally spend so much money and time on it because you will be looking back on these pictures forever! I literally think I wore eyeliner foundation and some bronzer.. Thats it lol. 

I told you so, lol. But, I can help you save a few bucks and look beautiful for your big day!

For prom, you really don't want to do anything crazy. Like I said before you are going to be looking at these pictures forever and you want something timeless and classy. But if you want to rock a black smoky eye and some red lips you do it girlfriend!

First, start out with a contoured face. This is a crucial step because it will make you look that much better on camera. Read my post on how to contour here! 

Do your brows! Don't forget this because.. well... look at my brows in the pics. Doing your brows makes the entire face come together. 

Then, take your favorite blush. I would go with a more neutral color. I used Macs 'Melba'. Don't forget to highlight! Go right above your cheekbone and above the arch of your brow. 

Now for eyes! I used the Naked Palette. First, spray your brush with some Fix +.. This will help the shadow look more foiled looking and more pigmented and shiny. If you don't have it (which I suggest you go run to your nearest mac or online) a few drops of Visine will do the trick as well.  I took the color Half Baked and put this all over her lid. Then took Naked into her crease and Buck into the outer half of the crease and outer v! If you want to use tape or a business card to line up the end of your bottom lash line angled up to your brow this will give it a much more clean look! Just don't forget to blend, blend, blend!!! And blend some more! Then, I took Virgin into her inner corner and under her brow bone and under the lash line. The outer part of her bottom lash line I used Buck and really blended that into Virgin. But kept the first half of the lash line really bright just smoked it out towards the end! Then, blend, blend and blend! I used some liquid liner on the top. Find out an easy way how to do that here! Afterwards I used a black liner in her waterline and finished with mascara. 

For lips, I used Macs Myth which is a nude lipstick, with a little bit of pink and took Buxoms White Russian which is MY FAVORITE lipgloss right now. Its nude, but not to nude. With yet again a bit of pink-- and its a lip plumper! Win! Spray some Fix + all over one more time and you are good to go! 

This a fool proof makeup look that will last all night. Just don't forget primers. Face and eye-- and set everything with powder! Let me know if you want a full review of Macs Fix +! Its a god send. Have a good Sunday guys :) Ill try to do a DIY Prom hair as well! Be on the lookout 0_0

How to get your Baby Blues to POP!

Ever notice how when you wear a certain color shirt your eyes just pop? Well, you should thank the color wheel for that! In order to get your greens, browns, baby blues to stand out you have to go with their complimentary colors. Its the same thing with makeup! Who woulda thought learning our colors with paint and mixing them when we were five would have really worked out in real life? The color wheel is actually a great go-to for a lot of things beauty related. If you have green or brown eyes don't worry I got you covered girlfriend! Keep on the look out :) 

I feel like y'all blue eyed girls got it made. Every color looks amaze balls on you. 

Golds, coppers, purples and browns compliment shades of blue. 

With blue eyes you really want to stray away from black liner because it can look a bit harsh. Stick with a more brown or navy! Also, using a white/ cream metallic color on the inner corner can really make these blues pop!

In my opinion I feel like a light pink lip goes perfect with blue eyes--- or use an orange based blush.

If you really want to take the plunge-- Wear a neutral eye maybe a cream with light brown in the crease and outer v and lash line and match it with an orange lip! Maybe morange by MAC! 

This would just compliment your blue eyes soooooo well.

You always either want to go for a crazy eye, or a crazy lip if you ask me.. 

If you do a dark smokey eye with a red lip you can look a little cray.

But there are no rules in beauty you do youu boooo! It could look beautiful! The only way you are going to get your perfect look for your eye is practicing to see what looks good on YOU!

*On Caseys eyes I went with a dark brown smokey look with my Lorac Pro palette. I used the color Taupe on her lid, with Sable in her crease and blended Espresso in her outer v and lash line.

I think the Lorac Pro would be an awesome investment for my blue eyed girls. It has a wide variety of browns, coppers and purples! Awesome

 for everyday.. or spice it up for night! You can get this at Ulta for $50. Pretty pricey but worth it because you get 16 shades and it lasts for a leap year!

HOW TO GROW YOUR HAIR LONG IN NOOOO TIME!

You all may be thinking why is this girl with a pixie cut talking about growing long hair? Ok gooooooooooooood one guys! But, I did used to have long locks and I am a hairdresser. I literally have to cut my hair every two- three weeks just to keep up with my pixie cut because it grows so fast. I'll give you guys an inside scoop to my top secret tips that I used to grow my own hair and that I tell my clients! You're welcome, no prob:)

First thing to growing your hair honestly, is keeping your hair as healthy as possible. Think I'm joking? What over processed bleach blonde who naturally has jet black hair do you see with hair down to her butt? None. It is not humanly possible. In order for anything to grow you have to take care of it. That is the main root to girls problems. Love your hair and your hair will love you back.

So you ask how do I get healthy hair?

Skip washes. By skipping washing you let your hair breathe from you stripping its natural oils. Hair can get overly dry if you wash to much. If you have to--only use conditioner. I know its hard but all i can say is DRY SHAMPOO!

Try not to use heat! Heat fryyyyys hair! For a long time I embraced my natural hair and my hair literally grew like a weed. If you have to blow dry/straighten/curl use heat protectant no matter what!

Use good quality products and DONT USE BOX COLOR. Thats all I can say. Use pert plus on your hair with some nice Garnier Fruitis Ash Brown and I promise you your hair might be long but not in the long run. Go to a salon spend the money to use professional color. Paul Mitchells color (Vitality carries this) is made with tons of bees wax to really condition the hair as you color your locks. Try sooo hard not to use harsh chemicals.

Get the gunk out! Use a clarifying shampoo with a good deep conditioner once a week. Honestly by letting that product sit on your hair it is doing no good except weighing down your pretty hairs!

Honestly get trims. People might say this is a myth. But sorry, its true. You're hair literally doesn't grow from the root longer but it makes the ends look fuller and longer. When you have split ends they keep splitting up the shaft the longer you go without cutting them-- making your hair look stringy at the ends. In order to have healthy hair you need to get trims. In order to get long hair your hair needs to be healthy. Thats all I need to say. GET YOUR TRIMS BABES!

Take your vitamins, don't eat junk and drink water. You eat mcdonalds everyday and you'll see it on your face and hair. Its scientifically proven!

One time I watched Tyra and let me believe you I believe everything Tyra says-- and she said she would massage her hair to stimulate the growth in the shower when shampooing and honestly that works. WHO WOULDA THOUGHT TYRA IS RIGHT AGAIN! When you wash your face to get the makeup off you scrub you just don't run it under water right? Exactly, so go right now and massage your scalp!

AND IF ALL ELSE FAILS guuuurl, Bellami has your back. Go get some sweet extensions and call it a day. Honestly, extensions have came such a long way. Maybe I'll write a post about this soon? If you all are interested?
