Review: Tomas Total Tan

I found this sweet little gem because of this post from Maskcara. She has been talking about how amazing this was for aggggggges and I never really understood what the fuss was all about. Until I actually got my hands on it. I use this on soooo many of my clients. It is a god sent.

I know not everyone is into self tanning or tanning in general. This IS NOT the only use.
If you have acne, or dark spots, OR DARK CIRCLES, this is your cup of tea and you need it. I think she explained it as having a white carpet, and dropping red wine on it. Giiiiirrrl that is never coming out. Don't even try. I wouldn't. Jk. But with a tan carpet, it will be so much less noticeable. (After doing the Vampire Tutorial I dropped the whole thing of fake blood in my new car I had for a week, I know nothing to do with this story, but it was gray seats and I think most of it got out. My luck, kill me, ok Ill stop rambling) But, back to the story, if you have more of a tan your acne or dark circles is going to be easier to cover compared to if you are blankity white.

I know my pale girls, me included, in order to cover every single spot, you will end up looking soooo cakey when your done because its impossible. This helps bring everything to one color making it a lot less work to cover everything. So you get a flawless, not cakey base. Honestly, go watch her video. I'm going through the same exact things and she explains it so much better!

Also if you've ever tanned or laid out I know this is always my struggle, my face is allllways so much paler than my neck. And when I fake tan I don't spray tan my face because it comes off so easily. So I just spray this on my face before I do my makeup and wait like ten seconds then go on about my day. Or you could have the total opposite problem and your neck be sooo pale. I feel you. This will help you. She says this in her post as well but this is ALOT more natural for that glow rather than piling up on the bronzer. Honestly, in the winter when I just feel way to pale, I spray this on my neck and face because no ones going to see if your bodys pale anyway. And this isn't like going to make you ten shades darker so its obvious. It just gives you this glow. Like helloooo I slept 10 hours, woke up went for a run, showered, ate a nice nutritious breakfast, all before 10 am. Yeah that never happens to me either.

BY THE WAY-- This isn't a typical self tanner. It washes off in the shower. Like you still have a little tint. Its not like if you are in the rain this would run off your face. But, its not permanent.

Really, this is a life changer. You can get it at Sallys for $15 and that can will last you a coons age.

Whats your favorite way to cover your acne and dark spots? Do you have any cool tricks? Also, do you spray tan? Whats your favorite?

DIY SEA SALT SPRAY ♥

Alright guys I have been on Pinterest again.... Go figure. All the spring looks has me itching for warmer weather---- and the beach! The next best thing from actually being there is Sea Salt Spray! I honestly used to think 'Why can't my hair look like this everyday?' every time I got back from the beach. I might just be nuts but I LOVE IT! So, I found this cool DIY and I thought I would share... You can have messy, gorgeous beach hair in seconds! Another plus is it is probably items you have just laying around your house.

So you will need an empty spray bottle, 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt, 2 tablespoons of your favorite Leave In Conditioner, a bit of light hold pomade like dime size, and a teaspoon of moroccan oil! Get a cup of hot water and shakeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm awful at any type of recipes and honestly if I can do it, you can do it. I promise there is no way this can turn out bad..

After you mixed this concoction spray it all over damp hair and scrunch it. Easy as that. You can either air dry or use a diffuser to make it quicker! It makes beautiful beach waves every time. Its great for the lazy girls out there like me:) If you are trying to grow your hair this is awesome because it is a no heat style that is so cute for everyday! The best thing is that it is not crunchy- EW. You should make it yourself and tag me on instagram in the picture:) My name is emilyaugustinex! Let me know how it goeeeeeeeees

How to Contour like a BOSS!

This is my girl Kim K... As you all know I'm obsessed but we can save that to talk about for a different day.... She has the perfect cheekbones, the tiniest nose, the best jawline....... Are you not so jealous?!? Well, I have got great news for you.. You can have it too! Noooooo I'm not talking plastic surgery.. With makeup! Its called contouring and highlighting! For all of us that weren't born with those perfect features this is for you... Contouring is when you take darker colors to create a shadow to take away the look of an imperfection you might want to cover up and you highlight the places of your face you really want to stand out! I can swear on Lolas life everyone in the magazines, red carpet anything are not so perfect-- they use this technique!

1. First use your favorite foundation with your beauty blender!
2. CONTOUR with any matte bronzer with NO shimmer whatsoever under your cheek bones, around the forehead, down your nose and your jawline with your angled brush.
3. HIGHLIGHT with any concealer a few shades lighter than your regular color down the bridge of your nose all the way up your forehead in a tree motion, under your eyes to brighten them up, underneath the contour of your cheek bones and your chin, below the brow and inner corner of the eye and upper lip to make it pouty!
------At this point if you look like a clown you're doing it right------
4. Blend it all out with your stippling brush and beauty blender.. Blend, blend, blend.. If you think its done, blend more. This may seem like to much but if you do not blend it will look crazyyyy.
5. Apply blush right above the contour then use your stippling brush to blend it all out with the contour.
6. Above your blush use a highlighter with a very light hand above your blush with your stippling brush and right in your cupids bow with your fingers. This will give you the dewey look Kim has.
7. Apply a translucent powder all over the face to set all the hard work you just did.
8. Finish your makeup and your good to go :)

So in more detail:
If you have a bigger nose than you would like use the matte bronzer and really concentrate in straight lines very close to the bridge and highlight very minimal.

A bigger forehead you would bronze way more down the forehead and minimal highlighting.

If you have a big chin or a double chin really focus the bronzer on the jaw line and up more up the chin then not much highlighting..

For people that have a circular/round face to make it more oval bronze all the perimeter of your face.

If you are more of a get up and go kinda gal I understand this may seem like a lot of work and I totally get it... It takes a lot of time and a lot of practice! This may not make any sense to you but once you try it on your self you will see such a difference... If you have any questions on how to do it on your face let me know in the comments or find me on social media :)
