SUNKISSED INSPIRED MAKEUP FOR MY GIRLS ITCHIN' FOR SPRING!

As you probably saw in my last post.. I am ITCHIN' for Spring. When I say I'm itching I am dying.... Literally-- Because all I want is warm weather and tonight there is supposed to be 12 to 16 inches of snow. FML! So while it is blizzarding outside for all I know (my shades are closed) I am thinking about makeup and hair for Spring and trying to beat this stupid Flappy Bird game. I mean, a girl can dream right? I mean for Flappy Bird because everyone knows I can never get past 10 -_- But, for Spring too :)

Heres what I used above to get this awesome flawless spring look!
Makeup Forever HD Foundation, NYC Sunny Bronzer, Benefit Brow Zing- Brunette, Benefit Sun Beam, Mac Mineralize Skinfinish- Soft and Gentle, Maybelline Bouncy Blush- Plum Wine, Naked Basics Palette, Stila Eyeshadow- Kitten, Anasatasia Dual Ended Highlighter, NYX Wonder Pencil, NYX Black Liner, Two Faced Lash Injection, Mac Creme D'Nude, NYX Creme Brûlée

1) I used a damp beauty blender to apply her foundation.
2) I used my bronzer with a big fluffy brush to contour and really warm up the areas of the face that normally the sun would hit. I used a fluffy brush because I wanted it to look very natural.
3) Next, I took a stippling brush and my bouncy blush and dabbed it on her cheekbones, on her nose, her temples, and her chin.. Really where if you got a sunburn thats where you would get it. With this look I really wanted her to look like she's been sun kissed even if its the middle of winter!
4) Then I took Sun Beam and applied it right above her cheekbones, her cupids bow and her chin.
5) I applied Kitten all over her lid.
6) I took my Naked Basics palette and started off with Naked 2 and put it all in her crease, then took Faint and really concentrated it to her outer v. Blend blend blend! We don't want any harsh lines!
7) I took my Highlighter and put it under the brow, in the inner corner of the eye and underneath the lash line. I took my NYX Wonder Pencil which is a nude liner and lined her waterline. Then I took my black liner and lined her upper waterline on the top lashes.
8) We put mascara on her lashes:)
ps. Don't forget to fill your brows!

9) I used Creme D'Nude all over her lips and topped it with Creme Brûlée.
10) Last but very not least, I grabbed Sun Beam again and put it right in the middle of the lip and the middle of the top lip and dabbed it with my ring finger really to make her lips look fuller and plump! Then you're done!!

Check out how to get beach hair as well! Then you will be all set! In the middle of a blizzard heheh:)
What is all your favorite ways to cope in the middle of a snow storm?

DIY SEA SALT SPRAY ♥

Alright guys I have been on Pinterest again.... Go figure. All the spring looks has me itching for warmer weather---- and the beach! The next best thing from actually being there is Sea Salt Spray! I honestly used to think 'Why can't my hair look like this everyday?' every time I got back from the beach. I might just be nuts but I LOVE IT! So, I found this cool DIY and I thought I would share... You can have messy, gorgeous beach hair in seconds! Another plus is it is probably items you have just laying around your house.

So you will need an empty spray bottle, 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt, 2 tablespoons of your favorite Leave In Conditioner, a bit of light hold pomade like dime size, and a teaspoon of moroccan oil! Get a cup of hot water and shakeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm awful at any type of recipes and honestly if I can do it, you can do it. I promise there is no way this can turn out bad..

After you mixed this concoction spray it all over damp hair and scrunch it. Easy as that. You can either air dry or use a diffuser to make it quicker! It makes beautiful beach waves every time. Its great for the lazy girls out there like me:) If you are trying to grow your hair this is awesome because it is a no heat style that is so cute for everyday! The best thing is that it is not crunchy- EW. You should make it yourself and tag me on instagram in the picture:) My name is emilyaugustinex! Let me know how it goeeeeeeeees

HAIR LIKE YOUVE JUST GOT BACK FROM THE BEACH... OR YOURE JULIANNE HOUGH.

Hi Guys!! So before I chopped off my locks I had this similar cut as my sister below and I would style it everyday like the familiar 'Julianne Hough'. I would get so many questions on how to do it I can't even count on all my fingers... Or toes. With Spring right around the corner this is a fun style to mess around with and there is NO goofing it up! Its fool proof! The messier in my opinion the better.

Tools:
A straightener
A teasing comb/brush
Sea Salt Spray

1) Section your hair out in three ways bottom to top. Then, take the straightener, up right, going away from your face and turn the straightener 1 1/2 times trying to leave your ends out a bit. Work in small sections. When you get to the last section on the top of your head do the same technique but only turn the straighter 1 time making a looser curl... This helps because like Juliannes hair the underneath sticks for a messy look!

2) Tease your crown area for some volume with any teasing brush going in downward motions.

3) Put your head upside down and spray some Sea Salt Spray.

4) SCRUNCH SCRUNCH SCRUNCH

5) Flip your head back and voila just got back from the beach!

This is great for shorter length girls but you could also do this with longer hair!
Just adjust how many times you curl the straightener:)

5 Products That Really Do What They Claim!

I don't know about all of you... But, I am super gullible. Anything anyone says I immediately believe. Its honestly ridiculous, I know. Someone could tell me that Obama just jumped off a cliff and I would honestly believe it. So with that said, reading the back of hair products I automatically believe every claim it says and buy it. I'm always like "Cool, this will magically get rid of my split ends!" Girls, nothing can get rid of your split ends lets just get that straight right now... Except a haircut. Sorry to ruin all of your days---from someone who bought every single product out there to try, nothing is going to take two hairs and seal it back into one. It doesn't work like that unfortunately.. I just hate it when products lie to me at the end of the day. I thought I would dedicate a post to all of the products I have tried and all the claims do actually work and your hair will thank you:)

Disclaimer: All of these products are pretty pricy but I learned in beauty school-- You can't wash a Maserati with Dawn Dish Soap! You get out of your hair what you put into it..

1) Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask--- You can get this from Ulta... It is $33!

It claims:
"Macadamia Deep Repair Masque is a revitalizing hair reconstructor for dry, damaged hair. A combination of macadamia oil and argon oil along with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts rejuvenate and rebuild the hair, leaving the hair deeply nourished for improved elasticity and shine with long-lasting conditioning benefits"-- per Ultas site

Honestly, I believe every single thing... I use it religiously and my big tub of it has lasted me a year. When I had super long hair my hair was always so gross, just like straw from coloring it so much and what not.. So once a week I would apply this product, use a wide tooth comb to comb through and keep it on for five minutes and wash it out. Sometimes if my hair was so bad I would keep it on overnight and put a shower cap on and boy did my hair love me...

2) Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two-- You can get this from ME at Vitality!

It claims:
"Basics: Deeply cleanses oily hair and scalps.
Benefits: Leaves hair fresh, shiny and full of body.
Bonus: Minimizes oil production so hair becomes less oily over time.
Details: Wheat-derived conditioners boost body and shine.
Fresh lemon fragrance.
Color-safe formula"
-Per Paul Mitchell Website

Yet again I believe all of this... I use this again once a week before my Macadamia conditioner to get rid of buildup in my hair and honestly it makes the world of a difference.. I have theee worst oily scalp as you read here so it honestly helped me sooo much. For someone who doesn't use a lot of product in their hair I would use this maybe once a month. It could be a little harsh on the hair if used to often.

3) Its a 10! Miracle Leave In Product-- You can get this from your hairdresser or Birchbox for $20

It claims:
Does 10 Things INSTANTLY!
1) Repairs Dry, Damaged Hair 2) Adds Shine 3) Detangles 4) Controls Frizz 5) Seals and Protects Hair Color 6) Prevents Split Ends 7) Stops Hair Breakage 8) Creates Silkiness 9) Enhances Natural Body 10) Thermal Protector -Per the back of my bottle ;)

Soooooo basically how about I just say it how it is--- I wouldn't be caught dead without this product. I literally have 3 bottles in my closet right now. If you think I am kidding.... I'm not. This is my holy grail and I honestly think it was the reason my hair got as long as it did (aka last year) This just really sped it up and made my hair feel healthy. Its honestly odd but I swear its like gold in a bottle.

4) Redken Quick Tease-- You can get this from Ulta for $18

It claims:
"The patented spray technology offers three benefits in one bottle! Mist allows it to instantly create volumizing and texturized results while maintaining a long-lasting matte finish and hold." -Ultas site

I believe it.. My hair sucks at teasing but if you put this bad boy in right before you tease it will be huge and last all day long... I even used to use it just to funk up the rest of my hair a bit to add some grit and texture! Its one of those products at least to me that you would never know it really works until you get it and are amazed. I am obsessed!

5) Sea Salt Spray-- You can get this from Lush for $12.95

It claims:
"Our sea salt, sea water and seaweed spritz holds hair in place, adds shine and gives body for a beach-beautiful look. A gorgeous orange flower, grapefruit, neroli and rosewood blend perfumes the spray. It smells so divine, we've been spritzing it in our hair just to smell the fragrance! Use anytime you want to refresh, re-style or add some volume, texture and shine." -Lush.com

I don't even need to say anything because they just said it all.............. You look and smell just like you have been at the beach all day. Thats my favvvvvve look! Yet again, wouldn't be caught dead without this.

Sorry this blog was so long guys!! But let me know in the comments below what your favorite hair products are-- As you can probably tell I love trying new things! :) Cya lata!
